Team Leader on the Mizoram State Roads Project –II in India
This project is a 5-year project funded by the World Bank that is likely to be extended through December 2021.
The Team Leader cum Highway Engineer:
He will be at least a graduate in Civil Engineering. Post Graduate qualification in civil engineering is desirable and will be preferred and will attract additional weightage.
He should be well versed in managing the Highway Contracts of the size comparable to the proposed project. He should have at least 15 years of professional experience, out of which he should have worked as Team Leader/Project Manager for minimum 4 years on supervision/construction of 2 similar Highway Projects, preferably involving flexible pavements and having handled highway projects of similar or large size and complexity. He should have working experience of at least 4 years in hill roads and have proven knowledge of hill roads.
The candidate should have a proven record of managerial capability through directing/ managing of major civil engineering works, including projects of a similar magnitude. He should have worked for period of about 8 years in projects incorporating the FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
Knowledge of international ‘best practices’ in latest conditions of contract, construction, contract management and modern highway construction technology is important. He should have previously worked as Team Leader or in similar capacity on at least one Construction Supervision works of major road projects of two or four-laning costing more than US$ 50 Million or at least 100 km in project length.
The duration for this position will be approximately 18 month. The post is located in Aizawl, Mizoram, India, with frequent travel required to each of the three road sections in Mizoram.
We are looking for an international expert meeting the above qualifications, preferably with previous experience having worked in Mizoram on road projects, but not required.
