Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Health and Education Policy Plus (HEP+) is part of a seven -years global initiative jointly executed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Palladium Group, subject to funds availability.
HEP+ creates and promotes conditions for dialogue among civil society, government, and other social stakeholders. Its purpose is to improve access to health, nutrition, and education for peoples, mainly of indigenous and rural peoples in the western highlands.
Its main actions are aimed at fostering the implementation of the legal framework in health, nutrition, and education. It strengthens advocacy and policy dialogue processes in these fields. It provides tools and fosters the use of strategic information for the planning, monitoring, and accountability reports, to contribute with the governance.
To perform technical assistance activities regarding Information Systems, HEP+ requires hiring an individual with the necessary competences to support such.
Purpose of the post
In charge of coordinating information systems development teams, determining estimates of necessary resources for the development of projects, activities, follow-ups. His/her activities must be based on better practices and project management methodologies to guarantee the success of strategic plans and to anticipate the use of resource to timely respond to the needs. Initial responsibilities include determining, developing, and managing detailed Component timelines and working plans by providing continuous updates of the activities development to the Management and to the working team regarding the progress and hindrance to identify and solve communication, information, and dependency problems. This is necessary to be perfectly carried out on project management formats, systems, and platforms determined by the Management and any other required to be analyzed, designed, and implemented.
Activities under his/her responsibility
Managing multiple simultaneous conceptualization, development, technical assistance, and tracking projects, determining pragmatic development, delivery, and implementation plans from the production area.
Designing, developing, and keeping a detailed itemization of the project milestones work, deliverables, and tasks to be carried out for the initiative, and guaranteeing that such tasks are carried out within deadlines observing the internal regulation.
Setting clear expectations regarding the original requirement of the interested parties, taking into consideration a participatory model managed throughout the project lifecycle.This, in order to guarantee that every input and updates to the original requirement are included.
In charge of coordinating information systems production team and determining estimates of resources for the projects and their follow-up.
Responsible of managing and tracking detailed Component timelines and working plans and keeping the production activities follow-up controls updated.
Carrying out strategic adjustments, as needed, and measuring the performance to identify improvement areas.
Carrying out the approval follow-up and managing multipurpose communications with the interested parties.
Developing and keeping procedures on submission of reports and monitoring of the performance in production activities.
Managing the submission of reports regarding production team activities to respond to health, absences, leaves, requirements, technical problems issues, and other administrative controls.
Creation of monthly and quarterly component activities reports upon the Component Management request, including management of evidence related to goals reached in line with the activities planning.
Solving issues sent by the Component Management or the Project Steering and other ones designated.
