International Procurement Expert (m/f/d)

Job Description

For an upcoming project opportunity in Georgia, we are currently looking for an international procurement expert (m/f/d).

Task description:

The overall Project concerns the rehabilitation and new construction of communal infrastructure in 4 Georgian municipalities, namely Baghdati, Vani, Samtredia (located in the Imereti region) and Kazbegi (located in the Mtskheta-Mitaneti region).

Purpose of the Project is to provide the target group with improved supply of selected communal infrastructure services (hygienically sound drinking water, environmental safe sanitation infrastructure, improved urban infrastructure), thus improving its living conditions.

Functional communal infrastructure services are also a pre-condition for an environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism and economic development of the four municipalities and can contribute to the reduction of the population decline currently affecting both Project regions.

Qualifications:

• University degree in construction management, engineering, law, procurement, finance, business/commerce, or a relevant discipline;
• At least 8 years professional experience with substantial input in at least 3 projects of similar nature;
• Previous work experience with KfW and under FIDIC conditions of contract is required;
• Practical experience as manager/ tender agent with procurement processes goods and/or services under the Guidelines of Financial Cooperation with Partner Countries;
• Fluency in English is mandatory;
• Regional experience in western Asia.
