Job Description

Green Powered Technology is seeking a part-time International Recruiter for a short-term, 4-6 month contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts for a variety of international technical positions for proposals including screening CVs, contacting candidates, scheduling and conducting interviews, checking references, background checks, and closing the recruitment process in coordination with other departments.
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers on developing position descriptions for active and expected positions, source candidates, create key qualifications summaries, write/edit resumes and develop skills matrices in accordance with RFP or client requirements.
  • Serve as ‘the face of the organization’ to applicants and organizations during interviews, career fairs and partner meetings.
  • Use creative judgment to explore various avenues of attracting candidates with rare skill sets, particularly in the field of monitoring and evaluation, such as researching associations, networking, job boards or local papers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, International Studies or relevant field required, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of current USAID, State Department and other USG funding agencies’ rules and regulations.
  • Outstanding social media skills and strategies, especially in professional applications
  • Ability to be flexible and shift recruitment efforts based on any changes in priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability using applicant tracking systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR and recruiting functions, practices and approaches to include sourcing, research, and cold calling experience with a wide variety of sourcing vehicles, including internet sourcing/advertising, direct sourcing, trade journal/newspaper advertising, employee referral campaigns, job fairs and outplacement firms.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and superior professionalism required.
  • Candidates should have outstanding organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively on multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is preferred.
  • Experience or familiarity with international development recruiting and recruiting networks for international development professionals preferred.
  • Prior recruiting experience and/or substantive knowledge of energy, environment, and architecture & engineering sectors preferred.
  • SHRM or AIRS Certification strongly preferred.
