The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has risen for an IT Lead - Source to Pay to join us at Save the Children International in London. This will be an 18 months FTC role and it is an exciting time to join the team as the organisation undergoing significant transformation across a number of core business processes, systems, and structures, through the implementation of a number of High Performing Organization (HPO) Change Projects.

This role will work with these projects to ensure the overall successful delivery of the project with specific accountability for all of the IT components, including management of the delivery of the software from the third party supplier, the various phases of testing, through go-live to the transition into support.

The role holder will have two parts of the role:

Project Management Delivery: Overall, be accountable in delivering and defining the IT change project plan and all the associated deliverables that will ensure successful implementation to the project.

System Design, Development, & Delivery:

Look at choosing and determining the overall software and ensuring how best to deliver the pilot program; any other subsequent runs and managing its outcomes. The placeholder will also be working closely with suppliers and the technical teams to determine further infrastructure that will be required to support the implementation of this project, understand total user experience to ensure consistency of experience across processes and consider the overall impacts of plan. Also, working on how data management will be defined and determining layers of security to ensure that the S2P program complies with the current GDPR requirements.

This person will also be working closely with the IT team to plan the technology journey and ensuring the criteria, costings, support costs will have a successful transition. Also, work closely with the Architect and support teams to ensure that the strategy and timings for all the products are updated throughout the life cycle of the project. This list is not exhaustive of the role.

In order to be successful for this role, you would have proven experience in the implementation of at least one ERP solution in a multinational environment experiencing a phased approach for the implementation. Have prior experience in managing large and complex change projects and programmes involving business processes, technology data and business reporting. Be driven to deliver projects on tight deadlines and budget using project management processes and tools including risk management, finance management and quality assurance. Possess strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure and technology development preferably in web/cloud based solutions. And have the ability to demonstrate skills in resolving issues swiftly, using and leading change management activities including change impact assessment, stakeholder management, managing resistance and designing and defining roles and responsibilities. You will also be someone driven with passion and have the ability to navigate various senior stakeholders in the organisation and building these relationships with them.
