Job Description

Chemonics is seeking two IT project manager to be responsible for the successful administration of Dynamics 365 implementation of project workstreams. This role works with both the D365 leadership team and individual workstream owners to track and manage progress against a defined portfolio of project workstreams. This individual will be primarily responsible for tracking and reporting progress to the leadership team as well as assisting workstream owners in planning, controlling, and monitoring of work plans and strategies. Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the leadership team and project workstream owners to develop or augment actionable project plans aligned with the overall approach, vision, and milestones of the D365 implementation.
  • Track and manage activities and tasks against defined timeframes and constraints in coordination with workstream owners.
  • Executes weekly updates to project documentation and communicates status, risks, and dependencies as instructed by the Director of Project Management.
  • Owns and manages the portfolio of project management artifacts including project plans, resource trackers, risk registers, and other project documentation as defined by the leadership team.
  • Proactively recommends solutions to project issues promptly and effectively.
  • Works effectively to ensure appropriate parties are involved and engaged to achieve project goals.
  • Assist in the development of communications to project stakeholders as needed.
  • Champions and adheres to project management industry standard and best practices suitable to Chemonics.
  • Recommends strategies to streamline systems for effectiveness and efficiency, considering client needs, team dynamics, and division and corporate mission.
  • Participates in internal or external professional associations and represents the company at IT-related conferences, events, and industry meetings when appropriate.
  • Undertakes assignments on projects or special initiatives as appropriate.
  • Makes presentations and trains staff as needed through one-on-one mentoring, small group trainings, corporate training programs, and information dissemination as needed.
  • Proactively communicates and liaises with other departments, units, and individuals on joint planning and activities.
  • Participates in activities to build a strong knowledge culture by sharing best practices and important innovations through practice networks and knowledge management systems.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of project management or coordination experience in planning and implementing enterprise level systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience required.
  • Experience in project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, or Critical Path required.
  • Experience in Microsoft Project required.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Experience in market-leading enterprise collaboration, CRM, ERP, or BI solutions preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the business.
  • Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise staff and special initiatives.
  • Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others.
