Job Description

Abt Associates, a major American research, technical assistance, and international development company, seeks highly qualified candidates for a potential USAID agriculture competitiveness project. This 5-year project is designed to strengthen agriculture productivity and profitability of smallholder farmers through private sector partnerships. Minimum qualifications for candidates include a university degree in a relevant field; five years of professional experience; and fluency in English.

Specialties of particular interest include:

  • Financial management of grant programs
  • Technical assistance to agribusiness firms and smallholder farmers to promote commercialization
  • Direct work experience with the Nigerian private sector agribusiness sector
  • Experience in providing finance and business services for agricultural businesses and smallholder farmers
  • Demonstrated experience in engaging women and youth in development projects
  • Experience implementing USAID programs.
  • Data reporting, including the collection and analysis of data
