GIZ International Services is currently preparing for an EU-funded project: Make it in The Gambia.
The overall objective of the project Make it in The Gambia is to contribute to socio-economic development and to nurture positive prospects for local populations and returning migrants in the Gambia.
Qualifications and skills
A university degree in engineering, economics, business administration or equivalent;
A relevant post-graduate qualification will be advantageous.
General professional experience
Minimum 10 years professional experience in project or financial administration.
Specific professional experience
Experience in external aid projects or programmes in ACP countries: minimum 440 working days/24 man-months;
Experience of developing and managing donor funded projects and working with authorities and partners/ beneficiaries on associated administrative and contractual issues will be an advantage;
Experience in administration of programmes/activities similar in nature and complexity to those that are covered in this project will be an advantage.
The intended start date is 1st September 2018 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 36 months from this date.
Banjul will be the operational base for the technical assistance. A sub-office might be established in the Upper River Region. Experts will be required to travel across the country as and if the need arises.
