About the role
The Justice Services and Stability for Development Program (JSS4D) seeks to support the PNG through targeted assistance to PNG’s law and justice agencies, provincial governments, the Autonomous Region of Bougainville and civil society groups.
The objective of this position is to support the law and justice sector to strengthen the delivery of law and justice services with a focus on accessibility, quality and service, including through improved systems and processes and stronger management, leadership and technical skills.

You will possess high level project management skills, together with a good knowledge of the law and justice sector in Papua New Guinea and/or other in-country government sector experience.
Professional qualifications relevant to the position and experience working with government agency officials are required. Experience working with lawyers, police and the judiciary will be well regarded, however not essential.
This position is classified under DFAT’s Aid Adviser Remuneration Framework (ARF) as Discipline C, Level 3 long-term Adviser role and will be offered at a level commensurate to the successful candidates’ experience relevant to the role.
