Background
Our Migration Unit reports to the Manager of the social sector (SCL). We support migration receiving countries, countries of destination and migration in transit and the host communities through lending operations; regional, subregional and national dialogues; regional cooperation to generate public goods; capacity building and training; and applied research.
We work in coordination with all the relevant Bank units to deploy the Bank instruments to achieve the requisite efficiency and effectiveness to position the Bank as a relevant institution to support both migrants and their respective receiving communities to support inclusive development.
The team
We are looking for a specialist who contributes of the Migration Unit in the production and dissemination of operations-generated knowledge in collaboration with other Bank units. You will provide inputs for regional/national policy dialogues, promote regional partnership initiatives to generate migration-related public goods and propose topics for the capacity building and training program with the highest quality standards.

Requirements: You are citizen of one of the IDB’s 48-member countries and have no family members currently working at the IDB Group.
As an international specialist, you will be expected to rotate between country assignments every 3 to 5 years.
