Job Description

Key responsibilities:
  • Design the M&E framework of the Fund with the support of expert external consultants
  • Lead the measurement, reporting and evaluation of the fund’s development results in the region
  • Prepare policy and procedure documents in the areas of monitoring and evaluation of impact investments aiming for the conservation of biodiversity, sustainable use of natural resources and the implementation of climate change mitigation and adaptation measures
  • Coordinate impact monitoring and evaluation initiatives aligned to with the Fund´s mission, including the proper identification of methodologies to be used according to the objective
  • Advise Senior Management in designing and planning evaluations, special studies and assessments and provide input for the implementation and dissemination of these initiatives
  • Select data collection methods for adequate monitoring and evaluation of investments and/or technical assistance projects
  • Assist clients and internal departments in conducting assessments for assessments of data sets, including baselines, follow-up surveys and end of project databases
  • Verify the consistency and robustness of information, indicators and/or data sets provided by consultants and/or partnering institutions
  • Report quarterly, semi-annual and annual development results to top management and investors and assist the Regional Manager in preparing other relevant reports
  • Prepare evidence-based case studies to tell the Fund’s “impact” story, including activities, results and long-term outcomes
What we expect:
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in a performance monitoring and/or evaluation role with international development organizations or sustainability oriented organizations
  • Master’s degree in a development field, social science, economics, or relevant discipline
  • Demonstrated ability in data analysis, project design, monitoring, and evaluation of development activities. Experience developing results frameworks, logical frameworks, or similar tools is required
  • Experience in agribusiness and/or conservation areas is highly desired
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to summarize information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong organizational skills in order to balance competing priorities
  • Excellent command of English and Spanish (written and oral)
  • Ability to adapt to multicultural environments
