Job Description

EYH is commissioning a three-day Private Sector Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in-house training for a private company specialized in water, wastewater management, power, and engines. The training should focus on the development and establishment of Key Performance Indicators on all levels of the organizations operations and financial activities using latest tools, techniques, and methodologies used in private sector M&E.


Specifically, the Training Provider is expected to meet the following desired training objectives:


• Introduce partner organization to concepts of private sector organizational performance management, monitoring and evaluation, and result based management.
• Equip partner organization with standards, tools, and related guidelines needed to design and implement appropriate private sector performance monitoring and quality assurance systems and plans for their operational and financial activities in including the setting of S.M.A.R.T. key performance indicators (KPIs), developing result framework, theory of change, and setting targets.
• Introduce and work with participants on defining private sector KPIs and familiarize them with different types of performance indicators (input, output, outcome, impact) for the different levels of monitoring and evaluation used in the private sector such as organizational, departmental, activities, and financial levels.
• Build participants’ skills on methods of establishing private sector performance indicator and familiarize them with challenges to indicator development.
• Work with partner organization on methods of developing, implementing, measuring and evaluation of private sector performance indicators.
• Build participants’ skills needed to implement M&E plans through provision of techniques, tools, instruments, templates, matrices, and methods for data collection and data analysis used in the private sector highlighting the importance for a strong information technology to support accurate, up-to-date, and timely M&E reporting.
• Familiarize participants with private sector reporting tools used in reporting performance status and accomplishments such as performance management dashboards or scorecards and how to analyze and use private sector performance indicators for other initiatives such as benchmarking.

About the Organization

Expand Your Horizons (EYH), is a three year USAID-funded project, which aims to build the technical and professional capacity of Lebanese organizations and their employees to play a more effective role in their community. This project is made possible by the generous support of the American People through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The project aims to achieve this through:


1. Strengthening the capacity of 150 organizations from various sectors and 400 of their employees in selected core skills and competencies through training and follow-on support activities.
2. Increasing communications and networking among participating organizations and individuals.

EYH will be outsourcing trainings for the selected organizations to highly qualified training providers based on the needs identified in the project’s assessment process. In order to do so, EYH is issuing the following Request for Training Proposals (RFTP). The purpose is to solicit proposals from qualified training providers who have the capacity to develop and deliver training workshops. These workshops must be designed to support the skills and knowledge of development professionals as guided and indicated in the details of the RFTP attached.
