Monitoring & Evaluation Leader

The Australian Government has established the Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) in partnership with the Government of Fiji to implement its education, health and scholarship aid programs in Fiji and its scholarship and education programs in Tuvalu. The Facility also supports the delivery of Australia’s emergency preparedness and response efforts and governance sector support. As with all Australian Government aid, cross cutting priorities of civil society engagement, gender equality, disability inclusiveness, child protection and climate change are integrated across all programs.
The company managing the Facility on behalf of the Australian Government, Coffey, is currently seeking applications for the key position of Monitoring & Evaluation Leader to provide strategic guidance and leadership in the M&E function.
The Monitoring & Evaluation Leader is responsible for providing strategic oversight and support the implementation of monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting activities across the Facility’s programs. This position sits within the Facility Management Support Unit and works collaboratively with a range of people across the Facility to ensure effective and coherent monitoring and reporting mechanisms are implemented to inform Facility staff, DFAT and external stakeholders about results of sectoral programs and the Facility’s key results areas.
The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified in evaluation and will demonstrate considerable practical experience in implementing monitoring and evaluation frameworks and systems for large, complex programs. Particular experience in applying DCED standards will be required. Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent skills in undertaking analysis and preparing outcome-based reports for clients and stakeholders, as well as an ability to facilitate learning from M&E findings and communicate complex concepts effectively. Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of versatility and adaptability are required for this role and the ability to deal with competing stakeholder demands. Previous experience in the Pacific will be well regarded.
