Frankfurt School of Finance & Management is one of the leading bank training and consultancy institutes in Germany. In an attempt to jump-start the mortgage finance market in Uganda, Frankfurt School of Finance & Management is implementing a technical assistance program on behalf of the International Finance Cooperation (IFC), the “Uganda Primary Mortgage Market Initiative”. The Program is designed to combine work on capacity building among the participating financial institution with regulatory reforms and improvements for housing finance.

MORTGAGE LENDING SPECIALIST
Starting April 2008.
Role and Responsibilities: • Launch mortgage lending operations in participating financial institutions (PFIs) • Work on the incorporation of the IFC Mortgage Finance Toolkit at the PFIs • Develop strategies for individual lenders to maximize lending volume • Represent the Initiative as an advocate with regulators and industry officials • Conduct training sessions with staffs of banks on mortgage lending • Develop and deliver appraisal standards, methodology and ethics regime • Assist estate brokerage companies to develop a database of listings and sales transactions
SELECTION CRITERIA • Degree in MBA, Finance, Accounting or Housing Finance specialization • 5-10 years of relevant experience in mortgage lending operations • Good knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa • Fluency in English • Strong computer, writing, analytical and interpersonal skills • Strong organizational and communications skills • Ability to work in a team environment
