Open Call for Digital Development Consultants and Experts

DAI’s Center for Digital Acceleration (CDA) provides technical advisory, business development and research services to both internal and external clients focused on digital development and cybersecurity. DAI is seeking a number of long or short-term experts to build out our roster of consultants in key technical areas to respond to frequent requests across our portfolio in the company.

Candidates with 5 or more years prior experience in one or more the following technical areas are encouraged to apply: 

  • Digital Policy: national digital inclusion and/or cybersecurity strategy and policy development, data privacy policies, 5G strategies and regulatory policy, international data sharing norms, smart city policies, sector-specific digital strategies, and information integrity/content moderation policies and legislation, digital government/ e-governance, digital identity.

  • Cybersecurity of Critical Infrastructure: Regulatory policy, IT/OT systems architecture and security, cyber hygiene training.

  • Quantitative and/or Qualitative Research: Survey design, interview and focus group discussion guide design, study design, sampling methodologies, quant and qual data analysis, desk research on digital issues in emerging economies

  • Digital Trust and Literacy: Misinformation and disinformation, social media, user habits, media literacy, digital skills and awareness

  • Digital Economy: e-commerce, digital trade, and digital financial services

  • Connectivity and telecommunications infrastructure

  • Emerging technologies: Ethical AI, Internet of Things

Minimum qualifications include: 

  • At least 5 years of technical experience working in international development programs in one or more areas listed above. USAID experience highly preferred. 

  • Higher degree in related field (Bachelor’s or equivalent required, Master’s highly preferred).

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including professional fluency in English
