The Australian Government’s Fiji Program Support Facility announces:

Operations Manager

  • Opportunity for an experienced operations manager to contribute to a large, multi-sectoral development facility in Fiji
  • 12 month, full time contract with the option to extend
  • Based in Suva, Fiji. Some travel within Fiji may be required

The Program

The Australian Government has established the Fiji Program Support Facility (the Facility) to implement its education, health and scholarship aid programs in Fiji and its scholarship and education programs in Tuvalu. The Facility will also support the delivery of Australia’s emergency response efforts following natural disasters, and governance sector support when requested by the Fiji Government.

The company managing the Facility on behalf of the Australian Government, Coffey, is currently seeking applications for the key position of Operations Manager to oversee the high-quality management of operational components of the program.

The Position

The Operations Manager will have overall responsibility for ensuring a high performing operations function to support effective and efficient delivery of the programs implemented through the Fiji Facility. This position is based within the Facility Management Support Unit and works across multiple sectoral programs. The Operations Manager will oversee financial management, planning and reporting; office administration, human resource management, IT, program logistics and HSS management and will ensure all financial and administrative processes are consistent with Facility policy and principles.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified and will demonstrate considerable practical experience in financial and general administration of large international programs, including oversight of financial management and planning, office administration and HR and ensuring contract compliance. Candidates will need to demonstrate experience developing and maintaining high-quality systems and procedures for effective operations and in managing and developing a team. Experience and knowledge of donor systems and policies will be required as well as an excellent ability to maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders including clients, government partners and service providers. Previous experience in the Pacific if desirable.
