Department

Program Delivery (PDEL) - Pact exists to help create a world where those who are poor and marginalized exercise their voice, build their own solutions, and take ownership of their future. Position Overview

Reporting to the Project Director, the Partnership Specialist with lead the stakeholder engagement, coalition building, and public-private partnership initiatives to address social issues, including labor rights, and provision of remediation services. She/he will be responsible for identifying and establishing working relationships/partnerships within government, civil society, and the private sector. S/he will liaise with relevant technical advisers and counterparts responsible for program analysis and provide regular reporting and ensure that all contractual requirements are met on time and within budget. This position is contingent upon award.

Key Responsibilities

The Partnership Specialist’s primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee all outreach and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Engage and work collaboratively with stakeholders, build coalitions, and form partnerships to economically empower women and adolescent girls.
  • Negotiate with potential partners and manage partners, ensuring adherence to agreements and USG regulations.
  • Plan and execute external engagement event strategy, including attending, organizing, or contributing to relevant business round tables, conferences, and events at the national, regional, and international levels; Represent Pact at relevant external event.
  • Proactively populate and leverage Pact’s customer relationship management (CRM) software to track contacts, prospects, and opportunities.

Basic Requirements

  • Minimum a Bachelors’ degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in government relations, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, business and human rights, and/or private-sector social compliance programs.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, coalition building, and public-private partnerships to address social issues, including labor rights, and provision of remediation services.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, achieve targets, and provide all required inputs to deliverables.
  • Fluency in Spanish and proficiency in English is preferred.
  • Applicant must be national/local - must devote a minimum of 90 percent of time to project activities to achieve expected outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of labor laws, grievances mechanisms, and remediation resources and services in Colombia is preferred.
  • Understanding of key labor issues within agricultural supply chains, including child labor, forced labor, gender discrimination, and workplace exploitation.
  • Strong sales and business development experience, including identifying prospects, cultivating relationships, preparing formal proposals and pitch decks, and leading presentations to senior leaders.
  • Deep and diverse network of business contacts with government, private sector, foundations, international organizations, and donors.
