Job Description

Panagora Group, a woman-owned small business specializing in global health and international development seeks a Performance Monitoring Advisor (PMA) to support the USAID/South Africa Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) activity. The PMA will be responsible for leading activities related to routine monitoring, data use for decision making and support data visualization. This is a full-time position, based in Pretoria, South Africa.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide performance monitoring support to USAID and its implementing partners
  • Manage the collection, reporting, and analysis of indicator data; including analysis of implementing partner program data and PEPFAR national data
  • Ensure indicators, evaluations, and data conform to PEPFAR and USAID standards
  • Develop and review monitoring, evaluation, and learning plans for USAID-funded activities
  • Develop data visualizations and presentations that tell the story of implementing partners and USAID/South Africa
  • Facilitate the review and use of performance monitoring information for adaptive management
  • Develop capacity building plans and execute them with implementing partners and USAID/South Africa
  • Facilitate data to action and data use meetings with implementing partners and USAID
  • Conduct secondary analysis and literature reviews as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in public health, international development, M&E, or a related field
  • 8 years of experience in international development or global health
  • At least 5 years of experience working with PEPFAR-funded M&E projects
  • A self-starter who thinks quickly on his/her feet and develops creative solutions
  • Ability to portray complex data sets in easy to understand formats
  • Experience with data visualization and ability to use various tools to better communicate results
  • Ability to obtain security clearance at the “facility access” level on award
