Here’s where you come in:
As Policy Advisor, Financing for Development, you will provide analysis of trends and make recommendations for action in regard to all forms of development financing in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and, as such, World Vision’s Global Impact Framework. This analysis will support Advocacy & External Engagement (A&EE) advocacy objectives in relation to ITAW, the 2030 Agenda, as well as objectives of Support Offices (SOs) in relation to Official Development Assistance (ODA) and Regional Offices (ROs)/National Offices (NOs) regarding domestic resource mobilization (i.e. taxation).
- Bachelor Degree in field related to international development, political science, economics, communications, etc.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in policy, research, government relations/external engagement, or other specific field relevant to World Vision’s work.
- Strong experience and skills in research and analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong knowledge of Financing for Development issues and trends.
- Fluency in English. Other languages an asset.
- The position requires ability and willingness to travel internationally 5-10% of the time.
