Job Description

  • Act as the lead expert in synthesizing and simplifying complex technical issues and subjects for presentation to diverse stakeholders and audiences.
  • Design, write and edit a variety of communication products (g. activity summaries and outreach materials including fact sheets, infographics, newsletters, one-page syntheses of evaluation findings and recommendations, activity briefers and visuals etc.)
  • Support event preparation and management, and other interactive engagements (e.g. learning events, stakeholder meetings etc).
  • Manage social media and other online accounts.
  • Improve the quality of internal and external documents and reports.
  • Prepare and oversee information for publication and dissemination.
  • Support development and dissemination of activity learning information by collecting content through interactions with implementing partners and site visits.
  • Ensure that all external facing products and materials meet USAID and QED quality expectations.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, international development or related field required; Master’s preferred.
  • 8+ years with a Bachelor’s/6+ years with a Masters’ experience working directly in communications for international development programming, preferably on monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Experience presenting complex subjects and issues to the US government, foreign governments, NGOs, and other stakeholders needed.
  • Prior experience on USAID activities highly preferred. Experience on other US Government activities also preferred.
  • Available for either STTA or LTTA assignments, depending on proposal requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking/planning, management and presentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to developing countries up to 25% of the time.

The purpose of this IDIQ will be to provide USAID with technical and advisory services for evaluation, evaluation capacity building, and performance monitoring activities worldwide, at the Mission (operating unit), Bureau, and Agency-wide levels.
