Program Leaders and Technical Experts – Social and Behavior Change in East Africa

Job Description

FHI 360 is currently seeking qualified candidates with substantial technical expertise and/or program management experience for donor-funded projects in East Africa in the areas of public health, health communication, social and behavior change, and monitoring and evaluation. Specifically, we’re seeking candidates for:

  • Chief of Party/Deputy Chief of Party:

Master’s degree or higher and at least 10 years of relevant experience; experience directing multi-million dollar USAID-funded programs; knowledge of public health, health communication, social and behavior change, etc. at the national and/or state level; solid understanding of USAID project management processes, procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Senior Technical Advisors:

Master’s degree in public health, health communication, social and behavior change, nutrition, family planning, maternal and child health, HIV, infectious diseases, or other closely related field and at least eight years of progressively increasing responsibility working in public health; demonstrated senior-level technical knowledge and experience in health communication and social and behavior change program design and implementation; experience building capacity and skills of local implementing partners, government counterparts, and other stakeholders; program management and implementation experience in East Africa; familiarity with PEPFAR indicators and reporting requirements.

  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Research Specialists:

Master’s degree or higher in public health, social sciences, or other relevant discipline and at least eight years of working in monitoring, evaluation, and research in the public health field, with progressively increasing level of responsibility; demonstrated expertise in rigorous quantitative and qualitative research and analytical methods; demonstrated knowledge of evaluation designs for health communication and social and behavior change programs in maternal and child health, nutrition, family planning, HIV/AIDS and TB programs; proven experience in research/study design and implementation, including design and data analysis of quantitative and qualitative studies, rapid appraisals, etc.; familiarity with PEPFAR indicators and reporting requirements; program management and implementation experience in East Africa.
