PROGRAM MANAGER - THEMATIC AREAS (BIOSECURITY)

- Remuneration will be in accordance with the DFAT Australia Aid Program Adviser Remuneration Framework (ARF) maximum of C3 level, depending on the candidate’s level of experience
The Program Manager (PM) will have overall planning, coordination and management responsibility for Thematic intervention areas and team. Current interventions include: Biosecurity & SPS services and systems; Sea Container Hygiene System; Use of quality/risk management systems and accreditation.
The PM will take a lead role in the planning, coordination and management of a portfolio of PHAMA Plus thematic interventions. The thematic portfolio covers a broad range of tasks related to biosecurity capacity-building, compliance, risk analysis, risk-management and risk communication across food safety, animal health and plant health matters. At the core of the portfolio is the provision of biosecurity support that can help maintain access to existing markets for supported produce and products. Support to the establishment of new export market pathways is also provided.
