Job Description

Job Summary:• Provide administrative, operational, and technical support in all aspects of Home Office project implementation. May be assigned to a single project or portfolio of projects and support one or more project management teams. Performs the role of Project Associate per IDG PMI. This position may be located in DC or RTP.• Essential Duties: • Provide project management and operational support to projects and project management teams ensuring project management effectiveness and compliance. • Develop and maintain project management schedules, project work plans, and other general project management resources. • Perform budget formulation, monitoring and reporting support. • Support cost performance monitoring and reporting. • Ensure accurate and compliant record keeping and administration performance. • Provide general project management reporting to project management teams. • Provide technical assistance support to projects as defined by the Project Manager. • Provide technical assistance support to projects as defined by the Project Manager. • Liaise and coordinate technical support services from Project Management Support Office business partners as appropriate. • Monitor and lead correction process to ensure project documentation, deliverables and data are maintained consistently in accordance with policies and standards. • Support business and proposal development needs of the assigned program as directed by the Portfolio Manager • Perform other program, proposal, and/or project support duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Education & Experience: - Bachelor•s Degree in relevant social science with 2 years of relevant work experience; or Master•s Degree in relevant social science.• Skills & Abilities • Experience in project administration in international development. • Experience working with project management teams and matrix environment. • Knowledge and experience with applicable technical area. • Knowledge and experience in international development project management • Proficient administrative support skills and abilities • Ability to work across technical and operational areas within business group • Knowledge project management practices in international development • Knowledge and proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel • Preferred: ability to analyze and visualize results from datasets from international development projects; preferred experience with agricultural data • Preferred: experience with data visualization software such as Tableau, and managing/analyzing data with Stata, SAS or R. • Solid ability in communication (verbal and written) • Good interpersonal skills and ability • Ability to manage and support complex and geographically disparate portfolios. • Ability to partner and provide excellent support service. • Culturally sensitive and respectful. • Proficiency in French, Spanish and/or Arabic preferred # LI-IF1
