The St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) has signed an agreement to receive a USD 25 million grant made available by the Dutch Recovery Fund, which is managed by the World Bank. The granted funds will be spent on reinforcements to the new hospital and upgrades on the current facility and services. The duration of the project is until July 2023.
For this purpose SMMC will establish a dedicated Project Management Unit (PMU) tasked with overall coordination and implementation of project activities, procurement processes, contract management, financial management and results monitoring.
The Project Coordinator will be leading the Project Management Unit (PMU) for the World Bank supported ‘Sint Maarten Hospital Resiliency and Preparedness’ Project.
Preparing terms of reference for procurement of the works (construction work, goods and consultancy services) under the project, conducting evaluation of procurement procedures, obtaining World Bank approval and negotiating and finalizing contracts, and coordinating and reporting on progress implementation progress. Ensuring execution of the project accoring to the Project Operational Manual (POM).
Consolidating statistical data for the evaluation of process indicators and progress needed to compose all reports to be submitted to the World Bank.
