DAI is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our busy Project Support and Systems Team (part of the Delivery Unit). This will be a full-time, permanent role. The position will be based in Apsley, Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. The Project Coordinator role will join the Project Support and Systems team (PSS) to support the growing DAI (Europe) project portfolio. This role will provide general administration and organisational support within the Delivery Unit including project related assistance to meet the business needs. The Project Coordinator will support various administrative and project management functions including contractual administration, operations and logistics in order to assist in managing projects. He/ she will support Project Managers maintain project portfolio databases, manage financial systems, assist in the development of project management tools (including maintaining the library of tools and guidelines), and support the process of maintaining and updating the DAI Portal, amongst other tasks.
We are looking to hire an energetic and enthusiastic graduate who is practically-minded and who is keen to learn and develop their project management and administrative skills. We are looking for a candidate who has strong organisational and communication skills; and who can (ideally) converse in another language (French and/ or Spanish) as well as be fluent in written and spoken English. He/ she should be competent at using Microsoft Windows and be able to learn and quickly pick-up other DAI tools, processes and systems. In addition, the candidate should also show a keen interest in International Development and project management; and be interested to progress within the business.
The salary offered for the Project Coordinator role will be commensurate with relevant experience. The successful candidate will work alongside colleagues in the DAI Europe offices in Apsley, Hertfordshire.
