Mathematica, Inc. is looking for an in-country Qualitative Data Collection Consultant to support an upcoming 4-month evaluation for the Rockefeller Foundation’s climate and health initiative. The evaluation will take place between September and December 2024. The study will assess the effectiveness, sustainability, and scalability of a dengue detection and forecasting platform in the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka. The primary data for the evaluation will be collected through focus group discussions with direct users of the platform and key informant interviews with heath and climate stakeholders. The ideal candidate would have a demonstrated track record of leading qualitative data collection efforts in Karnataka and have familiarity with the climate and health sectors.
Key responsibilities
Qualifications
· Master’s degree in public health, emergency or crisis management, sustainable development, economics, public policy, international development, or other relevant fields; advanced degree preferred.
· 3-5 years of experience leading efforts to collect high-quality data for research and evaluations.
· Experience working on emergency response, health, or climate change.
· Experience working with local government stakeholders in Bengaluru.
· Fluency in written and spoken English and Kannada is required.
