Currently, FINCA International is looking for a Regional Credit Operations Manager (RCOM) for FINCA Ukraine, based in Odessa. The RCOM is responsible for helping to establish operations in the South and South West region of Ukraine including the following: providing input on strategic direction, establishing and implementing products, policies and procedures, opening new branch and representative offices, and selecting and training staff. The RCOM will ensure that FINCA Ukraine will offer optimally competitive credit products that support outreach maximization under the condition of profitability; that these products are implemented in a most efficient, client-friendly, safe, and professional manner; and that FINCA Ukraine has credit staff (loan officers, credit management staff, credit back office staff and other) in adequate numbers and with excellent skills. The final objective of the RCOM’s activities is to maximize FINCA Ukraine’s outreach to the target client group in a sustainable and profitable way.
Ideal profile: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration required, Master’s degree desirable or equivalent work experience, - 3-year experience minimum in banking or microfinance in a management role in a significant branch, previous extensive experience managing a microfinance portfolio as an asset, - Commitment to FINCA’s social mission and doing business with the lowest income entrepreneurs of Ukraine, - Proven track record of successful start up operations, - Intimate knowledge of the South and South West region of Ukraine, - Experience in developing and implementing strategic/operational plans for financial institutions, - Excellent organizational, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills, - High level of customer service and strong willingness to work in the field, - Strong business management and negotiation skills, - Experience managing and motivating staff, - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and training skills, - Excellent technical report writing skills and computer literacy, - Fluency in Russian and English, Ukrainian proficiency preferred, - Availability domestic travel (up to 50%).
