Research Contracts Managers are responsible for reviewing, drafting and negotiating research and consultancy contracts on behalf of faculty staff within agreed service levels set down by the Head of Legal Services. The postholder is responsible for ensuring that (i) LSHTM can comply with funder terms and conditions, (ii) appropriate due diligence procedures are followed when subcontracting collaborating institutions or service providers and (iii) the intellectual property, financial security and other interests of LSHTM are adequately protected.

Applicants must have experience of working in a legal and contracts role in a research intensive or other higher education institution. Knowledge of the contractual and regulatory landscape of clinical research is highly desirable. A high degree of organisation and the ability to prioritise will be key to success in this busy role, along with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to use sound judgement and initiative to identify and resolve problems or escalate when appropriate. The ability to deliver a customer focused service will be paramount.
