Job Description

Deloitte is currently seeking expatriate and local senior advisors for roles on the upcoming USAID Urja Nepal project. Urja Nepal supports the core pillars of the U.S. government’s Asia EDGE initiative, with the goal to grow sustainable and secure energy markets throughout the Indo-Pacific region. Urja Nepal will seek measurable results across four pillars:

  • Obj. 1: Utility performance and relevant sector policies improved
  • Obj. 2: Advanced energy systems deployed
  • Obj. 3: Increased private sector engagement
  • Obj. 4: Cross border electricity trade between Nepal and its neighbors advanced

Qualifications and Expectations Sought

  • Advanced degree in an power/energy/technology-oriented field, public administration, public policy, law, business administration, or another relevant field
  • 10+ years of technical experience leading or supporting one or more of the above four project pillars
  • Demonstrated experience working among senior-level counterparts in one or more energy sectors across Nepal and/or South Asia
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Experience working successfully with USAID
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in Nepal and/or South Asia
  • Fluency (spoken and written) in English with strong oral and written presentation skills
  • Ability to reside in and travel throughout Nepal
