Job Description

  • Assist in month end closing by preparing necessary adjusting and recurring journal entries such as deferred rent, capital leases, etc.
  • Ensure all transactions are properly supported and approved
  • Ensure timesheets are signed and labor is processed in a timely manner for payroll processing
  • Own all account reconciliations and ensure agreeance with balance sheet
  • Assist in financial statement
  • Proper set up and maintenance of Charge Accounts in Costpoint and T&E
  • Maintain Vendor Master File, collect and maintain vendor bank details
  • Maintain fixed assets data and run depreciation on a monthly basis
  • Assist with bank payments/check runs as necessary
  • Assist with project billing as necessary
  • Assist with monthly bank reporting
  • Respond to vendor’s and project coordinators’ inquires
  • Review credit card transactions
  • Participate in automation of accounting processes
  • Analyze financial information
  • Maintain 1099 vendor list and ensure timely and proper filing of 1099 forms
  • Assist with financial statement and other audits as necessary
  • Any other accounting and financial duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Advance knowledge of Excel
  • Experience in Deltek Cost Point and T&E is strongly recommended.
  • Experience in Financial reporting and data analysis
  • Experience with indirect rates and cost accounting
  • Must be well organized and a self-starter
  • Possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Be detail oriented and reliable, show professional attitude
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal

The individual will support the team with the full accounting cycle that includes daily as well as periodic tasks. The position will also be responsible for helping with Auditor’s Requests and with other tasks as required. Senior Accountant will report to the Director of Finance.
