Be the voice for children in Papua New Guinea. Influence the influencers; push children’s rights to the top of the list. You’ll establish and maintain relationships with Governments, CSOs and multi-lateral agencies to drive key advocacy outcomes. Through the development of positive and effective relationships, you will help us widen our influence, help achieve policy change and attract support for country programs.

Where you come in:
In this permanent full-time position based in our Port Moresby office, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of a country level advocacy strategy to address child rights focussed issues in Papua New Guinea. You will be part of a dynamic country team and report to the Deputy Country Director.
You will make an impact by:
* Positioning Save the Children as the go-to-organisation for child rights issues in Papua New Guinea
* Leading the implementation of the child protection advocacy strategy
* Foster a culture of external collaboration among all Papua New Guinea offices
* Managing financial and policy outcomes across a Nutrition pooled fund grant and Child Protection grant

…You are passionate about child rights and use your passion and energy in a strategic way to convince stakeholders to work collaboratively to achieve outcomes for children. You are an excellent communicator able to make convincing arguments verbally and in writing based on robust analysis of evidence. You are an influencer, able to patiently but persuasively influence others and foster a sense of accountability among leaders to deliver results for children.
This role requires:
* Qualifications in a relevant field (Communications, Marketing, Arts, Politics, etc.)
* Comprehensive understanding of Papua New Guinea context
* Solid experience gained in policy and / or advocacy work
* Strong research and policy analysis skills including the development of recommendations
* Experience influencing national and local advocacy outcomes
* Project management skills
* Stakeholder management skills including experience in government and donor relations
