The USAID Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Hub, within the Bureau of Development, Democracy, and Innovation (DDI), is seeking to fill a Senior Director position to support the Partner Experience Team. The PSE Hub supports USAID to expand and deepen collaboration with the private sector to achieve greater development outcomes.
The Senior Director will be responsible for identifying industry-leading processes and tools to improve and enhance the private sector’s engagement experience with USAID. The position will lead targeted activities and collaborative work streams to develop and test new engagement tools and approaches, and institutionalize them through Agency policy and practice. Responsibilities will include organizing and leading private sector consultation to inform engagement experience improvements at USAID missions and bureaus. The candidate will also conduct market research and gather information on leading customer-driven, user-centered design, strategies and tools. A background in economics, private sector engagement, financial markets, and/or mobilizing private finance for development is preferred.

The Private Sector Engagement Hub’s mission is to create the institutional conditions, operating infrastructure, and capacity necessary to expand engagement with the private sector in the United States and partner countries. The Hub delivers capacity- and systems-building support for engagement with the private sector in all Operating Units and all countries where we work. This position will serve as a Senior Director on the Partner Experience Team.
