Do you want to be a Global Lead in the UN Workplace Mental Health Strategy and increase the effectiveness of the UN by optimizing the psychological health of UN staff?

This position is located in the Medical Services Division of OHRM in the Department of Management. UN Secretariat.The Global Lead reports to Medical Director, Medical Services Division.

Within delegated authority, the Global Lead will be responsible for:

  • Provide overall strategic leadership and policy guidance.
  • Lead, including reviewing and revising, its strategic direction, in consultation with stakeholders, as needed.
  • Provide policy and technical guidance to Taskforce and Partner agencies; taking lead in implementation of specific actions.
  • Oversee and manage first reports that provide direct practical and technical support to implementation processes. Lead overall implementation programme and specific project management processes, monitoring reporting and evaluation

Requirements:

Education: Undergraduate (Bachelor) level degree in a healthcare discipline relevant to mental health services (medicine, nursing, psychology or allied health (therapies)). Post Graduate/ advanced University degree public administration, public health / health care (preferably mental health), / occupational health, human resources, relevant management or business administration, or related area.

Work Experience: Minimum 10 years progressively responsible experience in programme management at the Governmental or Inter-Governmental level. Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in project management and leadership of system change/improvement program. Five or more years of management and leadership responsibilities of comparable size and complexity.

Languages: Fluency in English (both oral and written)
