SENIOR WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPER

POSITION DESCRIPTION

IBTCI seeks a Senior Web Application Developer to support an upcoming Knowledge and Information Management Activity for USAID/Afghanistan. The purpose of this activity is to develop 1) a knowledge management strategy, and 2) an information management tool that, when combined, will strengthen the capture, transfer, and application of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data, findings, and recommendations for use in programmatic, strategic, and policy determinations.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, web-application development, software applications development, computer systems engineering, database administration, or related field, or 10 years equivalent work experience;

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a senior leadership role managing development of web-based platforms, portals, and software applications;
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience developing knowledge and/or information management web-based platforms, portals, and software applications;
• Demonstrated experience with SQL, relational databases, and database design;
• Demonstrated experience with Javascript and front-end web development;
• Demonstrated experience with MVC architectures;
• Demonstrated experience working with System Integration tools a plus (Boomi, MuleSoft, Informatica, etc.);
• Good communication and organizational skills;
• Demonstrated knowledge of software development best practices, including source code control and issue tracking;
• Required travel to Afghanistan at least 20%.
