Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Review Daily Reports submitted by the Contractor and compare work activities with the approved Construction Schedule.
    • Make sure all construction activities by the Contractor are approved by the Engineer beforehand through approved Job Requests and approved Shop Drawings.
    • Insure Requests for Inspections are submitted by the Contractor to the Engineer and inspections are conducted by the Engineer’s Inspector prior to approving and covering work.
    • Supervise the Engineer’s Inspector and Surveyor work on site.
    • Insure that the Contractor’s work meets the Technical Specification and Design Drawing requirements and conduct independent inspections for Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
    • Observe the Contractor’s staff to make sure that the Contractor is following the Health and Safety plan and the site staff are wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment.
    • Inform the Project Manager through a Site Memorandum of any violations that occur on site, with regard to health, safety or environmental requirements.
    • Conduct Quantity Surveys and check Contractor’s Pay Requests for accuracy.
    • Interact and coordinate with the WTP operators and stakeholder representatives, as necessary.
    • Conduct additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc. Civil Engineer Degree from an accredited University is required.
    • 4 to 7 years of applied experience after a University Degree is required.
    • Strong Communication skills in English and Arabic.
    • Must have good proficiency in written and spoken English (Project reporting requirements are in English).
    • Proficient in Microsoft office software “MS Word, Excel and Explorer”
    • Good knowledge with previous experience in using AutoCAD and MS Project.
    • Experience with the construction of Water Tanks is required.
    • Experience with the construction of GRP pipeline and WTP facilities is preferred.
    • Must hold Jordanian citizenship and be legally authorized to work in Jordan.
    • Registration as a member of the Jordan Engineers Association
    • Must have a valid Jordanian Driving License
    • Must be physically fit and able to work on Project sites in all types of weather conditions.
    • The candidate will be responsible for his/her own transportation to and from the project offices in Amman.
