Job Description

Chemonics seeks a Software Quality Assurance Associate for the Global Infrastructure and Technology (GT&I) Division. The Software Quality Assurance Associate will focus on the areas of product delivery and technical capacity. Under the general supervision of the Director, Systems Architecture & Solutions Team Lead, the Associate will develop testing scenarios and conduct system regression, user acceptance, integration, and performance testing to ensure a high quality system is delivered. He or she will help develop and institutionalize data/information quality and management standards, systems, and analytics, as well as perform data quality assessments. In addition, the Associate will help improve data and knowledge management tools, databases, and applications. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include:
  • Conducts system regression, user acceptance, and performance testing to ensure the delivery of high quality enterprise level systems for local and global users
  • Delivers software application testing results on time and within scope and budget
  • Contributes to the quality assurance of application and information architecture planning, design and implementation by developing application testing plans
  • Conducts comprehensive data integration testing to support data exchange across enterprise systems
  • Reviews and provides input for system requirements and design
  • Conducts deployment testing activities
  • Shares testing results and knowledge with project team members to improve and innovatively deliver products
  • Communicates periodicallywith project and test managers to provide updates on testing status and results
  • Tests reports and reviews quality assurance (QA) of corporate data, taxonomies, business information, and institutional capability information in systems of records. Performs periodic data quality assessments around a specific set of criteria or standards that include reliability, accuracy, integrity, and timeliness
  • Provides test cases to Software Training Manager and Associate to assist in the development of training materials.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant job experience required. Past experience in planning and conducting software or hardware system testing preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience required
  • Experience in requirement analysis and management preferred
  • Knowledge of business process re-engineering preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise level data analysis preferred
  • Experience in basic SQL and understanding of Rational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) preferred
  • Experience with all phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC) preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of information systems, business processes, and the key drivers and measures of success for the business
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others
