Job Description

Chemonics seeks a System Strengthening Management Information Systems (MIS) Support Manager to join USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program – Procurement and Supply Management Project (GHSC-PSM). The MIS Support manager will support in consolidating the procurement and assistance components of the current USAID DELIVER and USAID Supply Chain Management System (SCMS) programs and will be the primary vehicle through which USAID will procure and provide health commodities to partner countries and provide assistance to improve countries’ management of the supply chains for such commodities. The MIS Support Manager will oversee software development and deployments of PSM developed product suite for our clients. The position will focus on supporting the MIS technical team in client management, vendor management, and work to ensure software deployments are delivered on-time and according to client specifications. He/she will partner with country teams, consultants and wider cross cutting PSM teams to support a wide cross section of MIS solutions, and ensure that all project plans are comprehensive and project documentation updated.   • Support all MIS interventions for Systems Strengthening and Global MIS teams
  • Understand technical components of a PSM MIS portfolio and communicate project management requirements to both operations and technical client audiences
  • Serve as the internal central point of communication around MIS project status, progress toward meeting milestone dates, and status of project issues and risks
  • Support data analytics interventions -supporting country teams analyzing and interpreting logistics data
  • Lead and support data collection interventions: design and develop surveys/assessments; training end users on data collection tools
  • Ensure project tasks get completed on schedule, resolve issues, and build internal relationships to help move projects forward
  • Informs all PSM product, process and project enhancements to improve MIS operations and solution delivery
  • Define, document and implement project management best practices and process improvements
  • Represent MIS team effectively in cross functional groups and client meetings
  • Provide project support oversight to vendor supported activities to ensure delivery of high-quality product, in accordance with the specifications; ensure user compliance to specifications and recommendations
  • Develop and manage user trainings, update and maintain all technical project related documentations
  • Assist with the development of project/country work plans and with monitoring progress against the work plan deliverables, and with reporting requirements
  • Assist in identifying opportunities and coordinating projects work with other partners on medicines management issues or other relevant areas
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor degree in computer science, information systems/technology, computer programming or similar field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience supporting MIS programs
  • Technical certifications in Project Management, or demonstrated understanding and implementation of project management tools and methodologies preferred
  • A good understanding of technical concepts, software development processes combined with the ability to work across teams, stakeholders and partners in implementing complex programs
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; proven diplomatic and public relations skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
  • International travel as required (15%)
  • Language fluency in English required
