Job Title: Task Order Manager

Department/Location: Washington, DC

Reports To: Project Director

Type: Regular Full-Time

Classification: This is a managerial, exempt-level position and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Overview: IBTCI is seeking a Task Order Manager to supervise a team of long and short-term personnel providing comprehensive MEL services requested by USAID’s E3 Bureau. The purpose of the task order is to provide monitoring, evaluation and learning services to improve development outcomes. This position is contingent upon award.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall leadership, management and oversight of the E3 MEL platform team and its work. These tasks will include monitoring, evaluation, assessment, research, learning and utilization, and capacity building and training.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the MEL platform team and USAID.
  • Manage collaboration across the interdisciplinary team.
  • Responsible for the overall quality of all deliverables under the contract.
  • Provide USAID’s E3 Bureau with high quality and timely support.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of experience managing development programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and professional experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning.
  • Skills in facilitation, applied learning, and adaptive management.
  • A strategic vision of how to align MEL and data utilization towards improving development outcomes.
  • Ability to manage interdisciplinary teams to collaborate across the USAID program cycle to deliver strategic MEL products.
  • Oral and written fluency in English required.

Education: Master’s Degree in social science, project management, international development, public policy, business, or a related field.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Ability and willingness to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Well organized self-starter.

Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.

Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: International travel may be required and may include travel to fragile and/or conflict-prone zones.

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
