Mott MacDonald is preparing to bid for this 5 year EU funded project commencing in Bangladesh early in 2019.
The main objective of the technical assistance is to strengthen the capacities of the cluster of institutions responsible for delivering the reforms of Bangladesh’s National Social Security Strategy, at central and local levels. The focus will be on institutional reform, policy development and planning, implementation and monitoring of social assistance to poor and vulnerable populations - with a focus on the most nutritionally at risk (pregnant women and young children). The technical assistance will also support the implementation and monitoring of a sector reform performance contract to support NSSS implementation (in the pipeline) as well as facilitate the overall strategic management of the Bangladesh Resilient Livelihoods Programme, in support to the Government. The tentative start of activities is January 2019.
We are looking for a Team Leader to be resident full time in Bangladesh with the following skills;
- An experienced TL with a core set of Social Protection skills
- Experience in Bangladesh
- EU project experience
- Experience covering cash transfers, targeting and public works programmes
- Capacity building experience with developing country governments
- Experience implementing social protection policy and of policy and programme reform
