About the project

The project will contribute to the EU Energy Union objectives, in particular on secure, diverse and competitive gas supplies by supporting the establishment of a liquid, flexible and transparent global LNG market. The action will further implement the international dimension of the EU Strategy for LNG and Gas Storage. This objective will be achieved by deepening engagement with LNG importing and exporting countries and by creating greater awareness, understanding and consensus on the subject, among major and emerging LNG producer and consumer countries. A series of events will be delivered under the project, including a high-level ministerial LNG event under EU leadership; specialized working group meetings; knowledge exchange workshops, etc.

About the role

You will have a crucial role in implementing the project by being the primary contact for the client. As Team Leader you will be expected to lead a team of long and short-term experts, quality assure project outputs and build relationships with project stakeholders.

Required experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience working in the area of energy policy development and/or advisory, preferably in relation to EU and/or EU Member States’ energy policy, policy dialogue and/or cooperation platforms;
  • Minimum 3 years of project experience leading teams in the public and/or private sector, or donor-funded projects (preferably multi-year projects);
  • Experience in the area of LNG and/or supporting EU energy dialogues with key LNG producers and buyers (incl. USA, Japan, China, India, South Korea, Australia, Algeria, Neighbourhood countries) preferable.
