The Asian Development Bank (ADB) wishes to improve the East-West Highway Project (EWH) in Nepal by addressing deterioration of road asset conditions, poor safety conditions and limited cross-border connectivity. The subject project involves performance of feasibility studies and detailed engineering designs of three four-lane highways, bridges for the four-lane highways, and road safety improvements, including: condition surveys, engineering design, specification, bill of quantities, cost estimates; economic analysis; social and environmental assessment; road safety improvement; preparation of bidding documents and procurement assistance.
The Team Leader / Senior Highway Engineer will have the following credentials:
–Master’s Degree in Transportation, Highway Design, or Construction Management.
–20 years of experience of which 15 years is in road works.
–10 years as a team leader for design projects
–Experience on at least 5 highway projects of size of approx. US$ 3 million/a piece.
–Must have experience in wide geographic regions (more than one developing country)
