Aus4Transport Stream B Activity – Transport Project Management Information System

Short-term intermittent opportunity - up to 30 days over 3-4 months

Location: Hanoi, Vietnam and home base

We are currently seeking a Team Leader who will conduct the inception phase of this activity consisting of the inception and conceptual design. The Team Leader will work with the national specialist to conduct surveys, engage with Ministry of Transport (MOT) relevant stakeholders to arrive at an optimal and efficient consensus of the activity’s outputs. The later involvement in this activity will be defined subject to approval by MOT and may involve being tasked to the implementation phase to the full commissioning of the IT systems. It is envisaged that the role will require several in-country inputs including the first 6 to 8 weeks.

Essential knowledge, experience and competencies

  • Relevant post-graduate qualifications (e.g. IT/science and technology/sectoral management).
  • 5-7 years extensive experience in development and application of PMIS in governmental/sectoral area.
  • Experience in database design, work plans and implementation.
  • Experience in development and implementation of M&E system.
  • Experience in developing documentation for “Request for Proposal” process.
  • Understanding of and commitment to Australian aid safeguard issues, specifically child protection, gender mainstreaming and disability inclusion.
  • Good stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills.

Desirable knowledge, experience and competencies

  • Understanding of DFAT aid policies and strategies.
  • Experience working in Vietnam.
