Job Description
Position Objective
To support the agency’s operational and business needs through facilitating effective contractor selection in line with relevant practice and policies. This will include the provision of expert advice in all aspects of procurement, development of procurement plans, management of tenders and development of contract documentation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement Processes
•Provide advice on procurement options and develop procurement plans.
•Carry out associated tenders and selection processes.
•Chair Assessment Panel Meetings, develop clear, comprehensive minutes and facilitate good panel decision making in formulating procurement recommendations.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications:
•A procurement related qualification or relevant work experience.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
•Experience of procurement and contracting in the public sector (including the provision of grant funding to not-for-profit organisations) – including the development of contract documentation.
•Experience in working in a support role in an advisory capacity.
•Excellent computer and keyboard skills with competency in the Microsoft Windows suite of products, including Word, Excel and Access.
•Experience in negotiating contractual terms and conditions in ways that reflect NZAID’s principles of developing long-term relationships based on trust, partnership and mutual respect.
