Job Description

Pangora Group is seeking a Training and Meetings Coordinator to provide event coordination to the USAID/Philippines Evidence-Driven Collaborating, Learning and Adapting activity based in Manila.

The purpose of The Evidence-Driven Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (ED-CLA) activity is to bolster the capacity of USAID/Philippines to effectively lead and practice collaborating, learning and adapting (CLA), which has the broader goal of enhancing USAID’s development effectiveness. The ED-CLA activity will strengthen the evidence base of USAID/Philippines by implementing select monitoring, evaluation, research, and other analytical tasks to inform key strategic decisions. Additionally, on an as-needed, demand-driven basis the activity will conduct monitoring services for activities operating in non-permissive environments (NPE) in the Philippines, in order to provide strategic information to help guide the management and adaptation of USAID’s programs in conflict-affected sites.

The Training and Meetings Coordinator will report to the Engagement, Learning, and Adapting Specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support workshops, webinars, trainings, seminars, meetings, and other collaboration, learning, and adapting events using participatory approaches and multi-media platforms Support the development of training and learning tools and materials
  • Support event evaluations and the development of event reports
  • Schedule events, and coordinate related travel and meetings
  • Procure event supplies and equipment
  • Prepare meeting notes
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • BS/BA degree and least five years’ experience in an administrative position
  • Relevant experience supporting the development of learning and capacity-building activities and materials based on adult-learning principles
  • Relevant experience supervising consultants contracted for short-term training assistance
  • Relevant experience in curriculum/course/module development preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience supporting USAID activities
  • Must be a legal resident of the Philippines.
  • Fluency in English, fluency in Tagalog preferred
