Global Communities is seeking 3-4 qualified translators (Spanish to English/English to Spanish) for a 12-month, as-needed consultancy to be completed remotely.
The consultant will primarily support by translating reports and other key documents from Spanish to English and/or English to Spanish as needed for various international development programs, funded by private and government donors such as the US Agency for International Development and the US Department of Agriculture. Live interpretation (simultaneous or consecutive) may also be requested to be conducted either in person or via video calls (on platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams). Consultants are expected to identify any clarity or construction issues in the original document and provide potential solutions to achieve a high-quality final document in the target language. Interested candidates will be asked to provide a per-word translation rate and a per-hour rate for interpretations.
