The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) seeks candidates for various positions for the anticipated USAID, Nepal Local Governance / Support to Federalization Project. The goal of the project is to provide support to Nepal’s state restructuring and devolution to local bodies as envisioned and empowered in Nepal’s 2015 constitution through support to citizens in accessing government services, and to newly-elected officials; support to local level government performance; and support in institutionalizing inclusive citizen participation in local decision-making and public accountability mechanisms. Candidates that have experience in one or more of the below areas and who meet the minimum qualifications are encouraged to apply.

ICMA is seeking candidates for various positions, such as Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP), and various long-term and short-term specialists per the above programmatic competencies.
ICMA is also recruiting for international and local specialists. ICMA strongly encourages local Nepali nationals within the relevant programmatic areas to apply.
- At least 5-15 years of experience in subject area, depending on the position (seeking mid to senior level candidates).
- Advanced degree in related fields.
- Fluency in English required and working knowledge of Nepali a plus.
- Local experience in Nepal is preferred.
- At least 5 years working for international agencies, with knowledge of and experience with USAID programs.
