We are now seeking a Vice President (VP), Global Health to serve as the senior technical expert in the business unit, overseeing successful implementation of all health activities; including strategy and business development, programmatic delivery, thought leadership, external representation and knowledge management. A unique opportunity for a dynamic and respected health professional with significant management experience, the VP will foster innovation and lead the team on its growth trajectory at a time when health is at the forefront of the international agenda, with excellent results and impact, the highest standards of ethical performance, and extensive synergies with other DAI businesses, corporate departments and strategic affiliates. We offer the successful candidate the chance to play a crucial role in a growing and important business unit focused on shaping a more livable world.

The successful candidate will bring a majority of:

  • Significant leadership experience, especially in winning, managing, and delivering global health projects;

  • Extensive international health sector knowledge and deep relevant networks to build strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and partners in the global health space;

  • Exceptional business acumen, with an excellent record of business development and delivery success in global health, international development or consulting, and experience supporting or implementing overseas international development projects at the field level;

  • Strong management and people skills, an inspiring and collaborative style with intellectual agility and excellent communications capabilities;

  • Interest, will, and availability to travel as needed to DAI’s countries of operation;

  • A passion for and commitment to the aims and values of DAI.

The role will be based in either Bethesda, Maryland (US) or London (UK) and the salary is competitive with the market rate and commensurate with the seniority of the appointment.
