In order to implement the WISH2ACTION project IPPF needs to put in place a talented, dynamic and diverse team with, broad experience in implementing global family planning and sexual and reproductive health (FP/SRH) programmes, commercial expertise, proven contract management and the ability to deliver on donor requirements including through a payment by results approach.
The WISH2ACTION team are seeking Country Managers for the following WISH2ACTION consortium countries: Bangladesh, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Malawi, South Sudan (TBC), Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia. It is essential that successful candidates have the right to work within the country in which they manage.
Reporting to the WISH2ACTION Head of Region, you will be responsible for supporting and managing an effective WISH2ACTION consortium programme in the allotted country programme.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate your excellent project management and coordination skills and experience, particularly with regards to programme quality, financial management, risk management, and donor compliance. You will be utilizing your experience managing or providing support to DFID or other major donor funded initiatives and managing health and FP programmes implemented by the public, private or NGO sector.
You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be willing to travel internationally – up to 60 days per year.
Fluent English (verbal and written) a must and skills in French, Arabic or Portuguese would be a strong advantage.

“Women’s Integrated Sexual Health” (WISH) is IPPFs new flagship health programme to transform the lives of millions of women and girls. Funded by DFID, WISH will provide integrated and holistic healthcare to 2.2m additional users of contraception across 16 countries in Africa and South Asia from 2018-2021.
Through a consortium of five internationally recognised organisations and 11 IPPF Member Associations led by IPPF, the WISH programme will provide a comprehensive, integrated approach to ensure equitable access to family planning and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). The programme will prioritise the most underserved women and girls, particularly youth under 20, the very poor, and marginalized populations (including people with disability, people displaced or affected by humanitarian crisis, and people living in hard-to-reach areas).*
