Global health has changed significantly within the past 15 years. New vaccines have been developed, millions of people now have access to antiretroviral therapy drugs, and diseases such as polio are on the brink of being eradicated.

But as the international development community embarks on delivering a new set of development goals, what opportunities and challenges should global health organizations look forward to and prepare for?

“I do think there are some unique changes going on around us that make for some new thinking and opportunities,” Path President and CEO Steve Davis told Devex President and Editor-in-Chief Raj Kumar.

One is the make-up of today’s global demographic; the other is the rise of new technologies, Davis said.
