Acting Sida Chief Visits Zambia

    The acting director-general of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, or Sida, is in Zambia today (Nov. 9) for a three-day visit.

    Charlotte Petri-Gornitzka is expected to meet wtih key stakeholders within the Swedish-Zambian development cooperation, Cabinet ministers, as well as representatives from civil society and the business sector, Zambia’s The Post Online reports.

    “Furthermore, the visit will cover the Swedish embassies’ regional work on HIV and AIDS,” according to a statement released by the Embassy of Sweden in Lusaka.

    Sweden has suspended its health aid to Zambia over allegations of funding misuse.
